City of Hutto Seeks Public's Input on Strategic Plan & Execution Guide Draft

Strategic Plan image.jpgThe City of Hutto has grown from a small farming town of 1,200 people to a thriving suburb of almost 25,000 citizens in a very short period of time. The City Council is working diligently to set a vision and mission for the City.

Throughout the past several months the City Council and City staff have worked with Jason Gray, with JD Gray Group, to facilitate a review and renovation of the City of Hutto Strategic Plan. This plan plays a very important part in guiding the growth and direction of our City. As part of this plan’s development, the City Council is wanting citizens input on the plan and vision for the City. The City will be hosting several community meetings to present a draft plan and gather citizen’s input.

If you're not able to make the meetings, we still hope you will provide your input through our survey listed below. The survey is only seven questions long, and shouldn't take long to complete. In addition to asking for input on sample vision statements, we also ask a few questions about our website. We are collecting data to help us as we move to a new and mobile-friendly design.

Meetings dates and times include:

Wednesday, April 5 – informal meeting at the Co-Op Farmer’s Market, 5 to 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday, April 5 – formal meeting, located at City Hall, 7 to 8 p.m.

*While it may seem that the Strategic Plan & Execution Guide shows some goals being duplicated, there are goals that fall under different strategic focus areas (Public Safety, Well Balanced & Diversified Economy, Quality of Life & Services, Fiscal Responsibility and Infrastructure & Growth), and we have incorporated those goals into their respective areas, as well as placed them under the appropriate strategic focus areas.
