Amy facilitates the effective and efficient provision of services for the City of Hutto by overseeing the management of the HR Division. While meeting the needs of the entire organization she also manages high-level projects that are responsive to the organizational goals and strategies as directed by the City Manager. Her areas of expertise includes employee relations, staff training and development, vendor selection, development and interpretation of policies and procedures, benefit plan design and administration, employee orientation, and legal-compliance of employment-related issues.
In 2009, Amy completed her professional certification as a PHR (Professional in Human Resources) after meeting specific eligibility requirements and passing a comprehensive written examination. In June of 2012, after completing 21 months of study and course work, Amy graduated from the Texas CPM (Certified Public Manager) Program.
Amy is a member of multiple professional organizations such as TMHRA (Texas Municipal Human Resources Association) and SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management). These distinguished organizations promote continuing education and provide innovative solutions for human resource management.
Amy has been employed with the City of Hutto since January of 2004.
