		<description>The Hutto Police Department is currently recruiting patrol officer/School Resource Officer (SRO) candidates. We are seeking individuals willing to take the challenge of becoming a police officer in Hutto, Texas. The latest population estimates show Hutto exceeding 20,500 residents, making Hutto one of the fastest growing cities in the state and the nation. Located at the intersection of US 79 and SH 130, Hutto is approximately 5 miles east of Round Rock, 15 miles south of the county seat of Georgetown, and 20 miles from Austin, making it an attractive place to live.&amp;nbsp; The Hutto Police Department is a professional organization offering job stability, training and great equipment. &lt;BR&gt;

Must be TCLEOSE certified or currently be attending an accredited academy to begin the application process. &lt;BR&gt;

The city of Hutto benefits include, a fully equipped take home patrol vehicle, 12 hour shifts with every other weekend off when assigned to patrol, 12 Paid Holidays, Tuition Reimbursement, Medical and Dental Insurance, Deferred Compensation Program, Short and Long Term Disability Insurance, TMRS 7% 2 to 1 match retirement, 80 hours vacation. &lt;BR&gt;
&lt;BR&gt;
Minimum starting hourly rate is $20.53 per hour or $42.702 based on a 2080 hour work year.&lt;BR&gt;
&lt;BR&gt;
Maximum starting hourly rate is $22.44 per hour or $46,675.00 based on a 2080 hour work year.&lt;BR&gt;
&lt;BR&gt;
A modified Field Training Program may be available for experienced officer. &amp;nbsp;&lt;BR&gt;
&lt;BR&gt;
First year salary includes a $2,500.00 sign on bonus. &lt;BR&gt;
