    Come visit the eReader Petting Zoo where you can test out a variety of eReader devices for children and adults from Innotabs and LeapPads to Kindles to Kobos inside of the library (no real animals, just fun children’s tablets and ePaper style eReaders). While at the library, ask how to download thousands of the library’s eBooks and eAudiobooks for FREE 24/7 for ALL ages with NO LATE FEES. The eReader Petting Zoo is a service provided by CTLS, Inc. Devices cannot be taken out of the library.

    Even though the library is closed on Sundays and Mondays, we encourage you to visit us online and download eBooks, eAudiobooks, Stream Music, and Stream Videos for FREE 24/7 from Overdrive with your library card at www.huttotx.gov/library. Another great part about e-access is that there are no late fees on downloadable eBooks, eAudios, etc.! Please feel free to visit the Library and ask a librarian to assist you with your device if needed during regular hours of operation.

    The United Way of Williamson County is committed to helping families become more financially stable and increase their assets. By offering free tax preparation services at the Hutto Public Library, United Way makes it is easier for families to access quality tax preparation services at no cost. Tax preparers will be available free of charge to low-to-moderate income residents in and around Hutto.

    The Hutto Public Library invites parents and guardians to bring their children to this fun and educational preschool story time program. Story time has many benefits including helping children build early literacy skills and a stronger bond between parent/guardian when they actively read together.

  12. Adult English as a Second Language Classes

    February 18, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM @ Hutto Public Library

    The English classes are recommended for intermediate to advance level students who have some experience with English. Classes are held Thursdays from 6PM-7:30PM. Please pre-register to be informed if classes are cancelled. Classes are for adults 18 years and older and students can sign up at the library. Classes are led by a volunteer group. Students can practice reading, writing, listening, and speaking in English. Students will also focus on personal English language goals. Sorry, no childcare is available.

    Must pre-register to attend. Classes vary in topic depending on the number of students, levels and the students' reasons for attending. The class aims to help students build life skills for work, education, and recreation. Dell desktop computers, Microsoft Office 2013, and Chrome browser are used in the class.

    This is a presentation for individuals who are considering to run for a City Council seat in the upcoming May 2016 Election or in a future election. The orientation will consist of a short presentation addressing the responsibilities and expectations of a City Council Member. Following the presentation there will be time for attendees to ask questions. All individuals who have filed for a place on the ballot or are considering to run for a City Council seat are encouraged to attend.
