The Financial Services Department plans and directs the City's financial activities and provides information to support decisions. The department analyzes financial and operational data, such as performance measures, and makes recommendations on City operations and procedures to ensure fiscal accountability and effective use of City Resources.

The City of Hutto Finance Department was awarded the Silver Level Award for Fiscal Transparency by the State of Texas Comptroller. This award exemplifies that Hutto is making great strides to becoming more financially transparent and encouraging the community to participate in the government process.

Financial Transparency
The City of Hutto is committed to transparent government. Transparency promotes accountability and provides information for citizens so they can see exactly where their money is going. To achieve this goal, we are providing the following information.

The Finance Department coordinates the preparation of the monthly budget to actual, balance sheet, net position, and investment reports to align with the Strategic Plan and Execution Guide. The City's fiscal year is from October 1 through September 30.

Monthly reports are updated each month throughout the fiscal year, starting in May 2017. They can be found by visiting the document center on the Budget page.
