Youth Programs

There are many different youth programs within the City of Hutto. We are dedicated to offering programs for kids that will benefit them physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. We will continuing be adding more programs as our community grows. If you have an idea for a program let us know. We can help get new programs off the ground.

Park Kids Summer Camp
Hutto Parks and Recreation offers Park Kids Summer Camp for children ages 5-12 years old. Camp is offered weekly through the summer break so you can pick and choose which weeks you want to sign up for. During a standard week campers participate in a variety of fun games and activities such as wacky science projects, arts and crafts, and more. Other events during the week include our movie afternoon, swimming at an outdoor pool, and field trip. Campers will need to bring their own sack lunch and water bottle. Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided. Each camper receives a camp T-Shirt at the start of the week. Camp is held at the Saul House (10700 FM 1660 South. Located just past Ray Elementary). There have been recent updates to the the Saul House and before camp starts we host a parent night so that parents can meet camp counselors and visit camp. Dates and prices for camp will be posted here as they become available.

Park Kids Junior Camp Counselor
Along with our Park Kids Summer Camp we offer an opportunity for kids ages 13-15 with our junior camp counselor program. Throughout the week Junior Camp Counselors (JCC) help run games and activities while being able to participate themselves. Each JCC is assigned to shadow a counselor during the week who helps them learn what it means to be a counselor at camp. They will need to bring their own sack lunch and water bottle. Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided. Those interested in becoming a Junior Camp Counselor will need to register and meet with the Recreation Coordinator before being approved. An additional meeting will be held for JCC before camp starts.
