The Corporation is created pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 431, as it may hereafter be amended, which authorizes the Corporation to assist and act on behalf of the City to accomplish any governmental purpose of the City and to engage in activities in the furtherance of the purposes of its creation.
The Corporation is organized exclusively for the purpose of benefiting the City by use of the powers granted to the Corporation under Chapter 431, including, without limitation, by aiding, assisting and acting on behalf of the City to promote the common good and general welfare of the City. The Corporation may spend money, incur debt, finance, issue bonds, develop, assist and undertake promotions, programs and projects that are consistent with the purposes and duties provided in applicable law.
