The Hutto Public Library will be closed beginning April 14 through April 28 as staff prepare for reopening on April 29 with regular hours.
On Saturday, May 10 a Grand Re-Opening Ceremony will be held at the library.
The Hutto Public Library recently underwent renovations to expand the usable interior space for its collection and programs. The renovations have completed and it is time to reload and rearrange the facility.
The $77, 379 renovation project was made possible by funds donated by the Friends of the Hutto Public Library and when the Hutto City Council provided funds from the budget to accomplish some of the basic needs in the project. The facility will grow from approximately 1200 square feet to nearly 4000 square feet. A study area or group meeting space will be provided along with space for new computers and a larger children’s area for weekly activities. The renovations will also make available much of the collection which was not easily accessible for patrons to browse and borrow.
