Happy New Year 2015 is  underway and we are excited about what we can do to get you outdoors!

Our team continues to preparing for our annual programs and special events!

For more information regarding recreation programs and special events (adult softball, Senior Game Day, the 10th Annual Arbor Day, 10th Annual Easter Egg Hunt, the BIG EVENT {Trash-Off, Junk Round-up & more} as well as a HUGE Memorial Day Weekend event is in the work! Before you know it the holidays will be over and the weather will be warmer but do not let that stop you from visiting our trails and parks. Our dedicated park maintenance crew, lead by Anthony Valchar is gearing up for all our parks' visitors during our the seasonal special events and the local youth athletics. These four guys help keep Hutto’s 180+ acres of city park land ready for your next visit.

When it is time to be indoors, there is no better place than the Hutto Public Library. Their Story Time for pre-schoolers continues every Thursday at 10:30 am.  Join us for an hour of stories, songs, finger plays and crafts presented by Ms. Lisa! You can reach her at and the Library crew at 512-759-4008.

Have a wedding, family reunion or birthday party to plan? Do not forget that we also provide three different pavilions and an additional property, the Saul House, which is available to reserve for your next family or company gathering. Contact our offices at 512-759-4000 for more info.

So, what do you do in your leisure time? Please take a few moments and visit our web pages, find an activity in which you would like to participate and get active. Whether it’s attending a special event, visiting the library for story time or taking a walk on our nearly five miles of trail, I am confident that we offer something that will get you active.
