The Hutto Public Library is located in the old Fire Station building that was purchased by the Board of Trustees in 2005. The first donor of books was Half-Price book store and following their donation, many community citizens have donated.
There is a Friends of the Library general membership meeting the second Tuesday of every month at 10 am at the Library.
The Board of Directors for the Friends of the Hutto Library meet the second Tuesday of every month at 9:15 a.m. at the library.

The Library is 1250 sq. ft. of space, but offers all library services. There are more than 12,500 book-related items.
Services provided by the library include:
- Books for adults, and children
- Videos
- Audio books
- DVDs
- Magazines
- Newspapers
- Computer with Internet accessibility and copying and printing capabilities
- Storytime for pre-school kids every Thursday at 10:30am
