HUTTO, Texas (July 5, 2018) – The first City of Hutto 4th of July celebration ended with a bang despite rain earlier in the day. Over 4,700 friends and neighbors gathered during the afternoon, despite looming clouds, to enjoy Hutto’s newest park near Brushy Creek. The evening concluded with a beautiful fireworks show that lit up the Hutto sky.

Hutto HEB Plus!, a native Texas grocery retailer, sponsored the event, and KOKE FM, partnered with the City to bring entertainment to the stage as KOKE FM morning show personality Rita Ballou emceed the event. Musical guests included Uncle Brent & the Nostone, Treble Soul, American Gypsy Band, and Bri Bagwell.

Children enjoyed hamster ball races, a rock-climbing wall, trampoline swings, miniature train rides, and a bounce house. A mechanical bull was on site to test attendees bull-riding skills.

Local food vendors, including Elsie’s Eggrolls, Garbo's Lobster Truck, Heart of Texas BBQ, Pustka Family BBQ, Svante's, Panda Ice, and Raspero's were on hand to provide delicious homemade food, and a 20-minute-long fireworks show capped off the evening.

The City of Hutto would like to thank the residents of Hutto for coming out, rain or shine, to make this a great kick-off for our 4th of July celebrations. A special thanks also goes to the City staff for working to make this a fantastic event.

Please make plans to join the City of Hutto next year for the second annual 4th of July celebration.
