City Council Meeting Wrap for November 15

Here’s a quick run-down on the top happenings from the November 15 City Council meeting-

Façade Improvement Grant Awards – After careful review, the Façade Improvement Grant Review Committee awarded five applicants funding for their property improvements.

The Façade Improvement Grant is a three-year 50/50 matching grant matching pilot program adopted by the City of Hutto to help residents of the Historic District maintain the intrinsic charm of beauty of their historic home and businesses. This is the final in the three year pilot program.

Residents requesting a grant submitted applications earlier this year, including pictures and a description of the proposed work.

All work must be completed in compliance with Chapter 6 of the Unified Development Code and the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards of Rehabilitation. After the work is completed, City staff will schedule an on-site inspection of the property. After the property inspection and receipt review, a check for the award amount will be presented to the grant recipient.
