Hutto, Texas — Walls are going up and dirt is flying as the construction of AEND Industries, Inc., a high-end performance, recreational polyurethane wheel manufacturing company, progresses. AEND announced in July 2018, that is moving its headquarters from Huntington Beach, CA to Hutto.
The construction of the new 19,200 square foot facility is happening at North Town Commons Business Park, located near FM 1660 North and Limmer Loop.
AEND is a performance wheel manufacturing company that provides a variety of recreational performance products including skate board, inline, long board, quad, scooter, and wheel chair casters.
“This is an exciting time for AEND and marks a milestone for the company, its employees and customers,” said AEND Vice President Tony Gabriele. “Actually seeing our facility come to life is amazing.”
AEND chose the City of Hutto for its access to workforce and higher education such as Texas State University, University of Texas, and Texas State Technical College located in close proximity, its streamlined permitting process, and its “open for business” culture.
“Five years ago, we started looking at a number of cities and states. For us, Hutto seemed the perfect fit,” Gabriele said. “Hutto will provide AEND with great opportunities for business growth and a robust quality of life, with an outstanding school system, and a variety of housing options.”
The move will take place upon completion of the new facility which is estimated later this year. The new space reflects AEND’s innovative goals and will increase efficiency while maintaining quality customer service. The company is committed to having at least 40 employees within nine months of beginning operations in Hutto, and an additional 10 employees within five years.
“It is amazing to see the structure coming up so quickly and we are looking forward to celebrating their opening in the very near future,” said City Manager Odis Jones. “Hutto has much to offer for companies to innovate and grow while their employees enjoy a strong sense of community.”
