The City of Hutto takes the citizens’ concerns about City government very seriously and promotes citizen participation, but as the world faces this pandemic, we take more seriously the health and wellness of our citizens. The City will continue following the mandates of Williamson County.
Williamson County has issued the same declaration but has mandated that there be no public events or gatherings with more than 50 people in attendance. Because of this, the City has cancelled or postponed all events that meet that restriction.
The March 19, 2020 City Council meeting will be held at its usual time of 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 500 W. Live Oak Street but attendance will be limited to 30 people inside the Council Chambers, including staff, and 10 people in the City Hall Lobby.
The meetings will be aired live on the website at www.huttotx.gov and replayed on demand the day after the Council meeting. For concerns of public health and safety, the City encourages citizens to choose the option of watching the meeting on the website. If you have comments related to any agenda item, you may submit those comments to comments@huttotx.gov from now until 6:30 p.m. on March 19 prior to the beginning of the meeting. Comments will be shared with the City Council at the meeting.
