The department analyzes financial and operational data, such as performance measures, and makes recommendations on City operations and procedures to ensure fiscal accountability and effective use of City Resources.
The City of Hutto Financial Services Department was awarded the Silver Level Award for Fiscal Transparency by the State of Texas Comptroller. On Thursday, September 15, 2022, the City Council adopted a tax rate of $0.4218, of which $0.273880 is for maintenance and operations and $0.148100 is for debt service.
