Bilingual Story Time
October 3 & 17 @ 3 pm
Ages Infant - 5
Join us for a bilingual English/Spanish story time! Bilingual picture books will introduce simple Spanish vocabulary, such as colors, numbers, days of the week, and seasons. We will sing songs in English and Spanish. English speakers, Spanish speakers, and bilingual folks welcome.
This Story Time is presented in-person, as a walk-in format on a first come, first serve basis.
Limited to 36 people (room capacity).
Parent/Guardian MUST stay with child for the duration of the Story Time.
¡Acompañanos para una hora de cuentos bilingüe inglés/español! Los libros bilingües introducirán vocabulario sencillo en español, como colores, números, días de la semana y estaciones. Cantaremos canciones en inglés y español. Bienvenidos los angloparlantes, los hispanohablantes y las personas bilingües.
Este Story Time se presenta en persona, en un formato sin cita previa, por orden de llegada.

"Riders on the Orphan Train"
October 3 @ 5:30 - 7 pm
This one-hour multi-media program combines live music by Phillip Lancaster and Alison Moore, video montage with archival photographs and interviews of survivors, and a dramatic reading of the 2012 novel “Riders on the Orphan Train” by award-winning author Alison Moore. Although the program is about children, it is designed to engage audiences of all ages and to inform, inspire and raise awareness about this little-known part of history.
Preschool Story Time

Preschool Story Time offers preschoolers opportunities to interact with the story time experience through fun stories, movement, and songs.
This Story Time is presented in-person, as a walk-in format on a first come, first serve basis.

Baby-Toddler Story Time
October 6, 13, 20 & 27 @ 11 am
Baby through toddler Story Time focuses on children (Infant-age 2) who are just learning to sit and listen to stories for short periods. Rhymes, songs, short books, and movement make this fast-paced Story Time a delight for children.
This Story Time is presented in-person, as a walk-in format on a first come, first serve basis.

Taste of Hispanic Heritage
October 6 @ 4 - 6 pm
Are you looking for an informative and appetizing way to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month this year? Come get a Taste of Hispanic Heritage.
Learn information about Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Spain, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Puerto Rico, Ecuador, Mexico, Guatemala, Uruguay, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Paraguay, Peru, Cuba, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama. Don’t miss trying a piece of traditional candy from each country while you learn!
Monthly Homeschool Meet Up

Looking for a fun and social activity for your homeschool kiddos?
Bring them to the Library for our monthly homeschool meet up! Children ages 12 and under will meet other kids their age and work together to complete a STEM challenge.
Caregivers will have a chance to meet and chat with other members of the Hutto area homeschooling community while kids do some hands-on learning. Caregivers must be present for the duration of the event.
No registration required.
Scary Crafts

BoOoOo Bash

Ready to have some spooky fun this Halloween? Join us at the Hutto Public Library BoOoOo Bash Halloween Party! There will be classic party games such as musical chairs, pin the nose on the Jack-O-lantern, a spooky matching card game, cute seasonal crafts, and more!
Wear your best costume and bring your camera. We hope to see you in the Council Chambers!!
