 OCEANS OF POSSIBILITIES SUMMER READING PROGRAM AT 

HUTTO PUBLIC LIBRARY!

Beginning Monday, June 6th, you can pick up your reading log so you can be sure to keep reading all summer! Once you've completed the log (12 hours of reading), you can turn it in for a goodie bag! You can pick up a calendar at the Library or click below to download the calendar. Be sure to check the intended age group for each event and come early because our rooms have capacity limits. Each event will be held on a first come, first serve basis. 

Here are some events specifically targeted for children:

  • Elementary (Grades 1st - 5th) Craft Class - second Monday in June & July @ 11 -12
  • Elementary Age Story Time - Wednesdays in June & July @ 11 - 11:30 am
  • Infant - Preschool Age Story Time - Fridays in June & July @ 11 - 11:30 am
  • Family Movie Day - Sing 2 -Wed, June 22nd 2 - 4 pm
  • Family Board Game Day - Every Tuesday 11 am - 3 pm
  • Junior (Ages 9-12) Book Club - Mon, June 27th @ 11 - 12 Out of My Heart by Sharon Draper
  • Junior (Ages 9-12) Book Club - Mon, July 25th @ 11 - 12: Willodeen by Katherine Applegate
  • Mini-Golf in the Library - Fri, June 17th 12 pm - 4 pm - All Ages
  • Twisty Art Storytelling - Thurs, July 21st @ 3 - 4 pm - All Ages

Summary of Out of My Heart: Because she loves horses but is scared of them, Melody wants to conquer her fears, so she hopes a summer camp will be the place to welcome someone with cerebral palsy who wants to learn to ride.

Toddler Story Time


Fridays with Ms. Colleen @ 11-11:30

Toddler Story Time focuses on children (Infant-age 2) who are just learning to sit and listen to stories for short periods. Rhymes, songs, short books, and movement make this fast paced Story Time a delight for children. This Story Time is presented in-person, as a walk-in format on a first come, first serve basis.

Limited to 36 people (room capacity). 

Parent/Guardian MUST stay with child for the duration of the Story Time.

Wednesdays with Ms. Colleen @ 11:00-11:30

Preschool Story Time offers children ages 3-5 opportunities to interact with the story time experience through songs, rhymes, movement, and stories. This Story Time is presented in-person, as a walk-in format on a first come, first serve basis. 

Limited to 36 people (room capacity). 

Parent/Guardian MUST stay with child for the duration of the Story Time.
