From Pre-School through College, Hutto offers access to excellent educational opportunities. For primary and secondary students, Hutto Independent School District covers 75 mile square miles and is one of the fastest growing districts in Central Texas.

Hutto is proud to be home of the East Williamson County Higher Education Center-Hutto Campus. The Hutto Economic Development Corporation has strong partnerships with Temple College, Texas State Technical College, and Texas A&M-Central. Many local companies value this resource as they build and expand their businesses, including the ability to provide custom training to their workforce.

The University of Texas and several other area universities with a combined enrollment of over 140,000 provide an ample supply of well-educated workers to area employers. Within 200 miles of Austin, there are an additional 67 four-year colleges and universities that enroll over 450,000 students.

Hutto has a talent pool of more than 17,000 employees across more than 400 business in Hutto, with an unemployment rate of 3.6% throughout the city. The average size of Hutto’s most active economic development prospects is greater than $1 billion in new capital, which could lead to the creation of more than 2,000 jobs.
