Amberley Kolar is a native Texan and has lived in Hutto since 2018. Amberley was elected to Hutto City Council Place 6 in May 2021 and is currently the council liaison for the Parks Advisory Board.
Amberley attended Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She completed her Masters of Science in Global Security Studies from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas.
Amberley’s professional career has focused on federal and state policy in Washington, D.C. and Austin. She is currently a Legislative Director at the Texas House of Representatives. Amberley’s campaign focused on fiscal responsibility, investing in infrastructure, and low property tax. She believes that effective and efficient local government is important to ensure that Hutto thrives for the years and decades to come.
