Hutto Citizens University

The City of Hutto is thrilled to program Hutto Citizens University (HCU) with the purpose of connecting with residents and teaching them about the processes and structure within our City government. The City hosts this free, 9-week program to integrate residents into their community and facilitate a more in-depth understanding of how municipal government functions and how communities are developed. The program offers a series of interactive presentations, tours, and demonstrations by various City departments, giving participants a behind-the-scenes look at City government.

The City intends to conduct two, regular-level HCU sessions per year, with an additional session coming up for our "sophomore level" HCU. Stay tuned for more information!

Applications are CLOSED at this time.

The Spring 2024 program will begin February 27 and run through April 30, 2024 with classes beginning at 6 PM and concluding at 8 PM. This program will include 9-classes plus 2-field trips.
