Hutto Citizens University

The City of Hutto is thrilled to re-introduce Hutto Citizens University (HCU) to connect with residents and teach them about the processes and structure within our City government. The City hosts this free, 9-week program to integrate residents into their community and facilitate a more in-depth understanding of how municipal government functions and how communities are developed. The program offers a series of interactive presentations, tours, and demonstrations by various City departments, giving participants a behind-the-scenes look at City government.

The City intends to conduct two, regular-level HCU sessions per year, with an additional session coming up for our "sophomore level" HCU. Stay tuned for more information!

Applications are currently closed and will reopen in Spring 2024.

The Fall 2023 program will begin August 15 and run through October 12, 2023 with classes beginning at 6 PM and concluding at 8 PM. This program will include 9-classes plus 2-field trips.
