The community is invited to join a kick-off celebration as the City of Hutto breaks ground on the first of many road improvement projects! This historic event will take place on Wednesday, May 31 from 4:30 to 6:30 pm at the corner of FM 1660 North and US 79 in downtown.
The grand prize raffle winner will walk away with a pair of tickets to KOKEFEST. Two other lucky attendees will win $50 Yiftee gift cards, redeemable at many local Hutto businesses. Kids in attendance at the BIG TENT for the 5:30 groundbreaking ceremony can also enter to win construction toys by picking up a raffle ticket upon entry to the tent; Kids winners will be announced at the conclusion of the program and must be present to win.
Attendees wishing to enter the raffle for KOKEFEST tickets and $50 Yiftee gift cards must pick up a passport at the info booth, visit six vendors at the Hutto Farmers Market located adjacent to the project site in Historic Downtown Hutto, then submit their completed passport to the info booth by 6:30 pm. Winners will be drawn at the conclusion of the event and notified via email. Winners do not need to be present to win. The Hutto Farmers Market opens at 3 pm.
Community leaders will conduct the official groundbreaking ceremony for a project that will add a dedicated right turn lane on FM 1660 southbound to head west on US 79, the first of many road improvements set to begin over the next several months. Be sure to grab a seat by 5:30 pm to witness the short but historic ceremony.
