Williamson County hosting household hazardous waste cleanup

Not sure how to dispose of old batteries, cleaning products, lawn chemicals, and paints? Williamson County is hosting a household hazardous waste cleanup event on Saturday, March 16 from 9 am until 1 pm at the Williamson County Expo Center in Taylor. 

The free event is only open to residents of Williamson County. Residents should bring proof of Williamson County residency, such as a driver’s license or billing statement. 

Only the following items will be accepted at the event: 

  • Acids
  • Aluminum
  • Antifreeze
  • Batteries
  • Brake and transmission fluid
  • Cleaning products
  • Lawn and garden chemicals
  • Lighter fluid
  • Paints, solvents and varnish
  • Pesticides and herbicides

If possible, waste products should be in their original containers and properly sealed to prevent leaking. Only five containers per vehicle will be accepted. Volunteers will unload items from your vehicle. Trailers longer than 16 feet and contractor/business waste will not be allowed.
