Special events added in Downtown Hutto

Farmer George Farmers Market RR 1

As first announced at the City of Hutto’s quarterly business roundtable March 24 in Historic Downtown Hutto, the City is thrilled to introduce a pair of recurring events that will support the local economy and quality of life for years to come.

Both of these exciting events are anticipated to be held year-round in Downtown Hutto, beginning next month (April). The City is approving a permit for Farmer George Farmers Markets to professionally host the Hutto Farmers Market, every Wednesday from 3 to 7 pm. In addition, the City is permitting MainStreet Productions to launch the City’s first ever Hutto Market Days, which will be held the third Saturday of the month from 9 am to 4 pm.

Reps from both events attended today’s roundtable forum to encourage local businesses to get involved, noting that these events will prioritize Hutto-area vendors, artisans, farmers, and ranchers. The events are expected to be much larger than past such events in Hutto. They will be based at 200 East St. in Downtown Hutto, with parking available in the surrounding blocks as well as at City Hall—just a 5-minute walk away.

Farmer George Farmers Markets are currently held in Round Rock, Cedar Park, and Austin – making the Hutto Farmers Market the fourth location in this beloved enterprise. They specialize in locally grown, responsibly raised food and products.

Like its highly successful sister market in downtown Round Rock, Hutto Market Days will primarily feature local artisans and hand-made products, as well as booths for community groups. It will be pet- and kid-friendly, with food available from the array of cafes and food trucks in Downtown Hutto.

Both companies will soon post these events on social media, so stay tuned for more content and details. In the meantime, save the dates and spread the word!
