On Thursday, June 2, the Hutto City Council approved the proposed Outside Agency Funding process timeline. As a result, the City is now accepting Outside Agency Funding applications, which are available for download by clicking here. Applications are due by 5 pm on Friday, July 8.

Each year, the Hutto City Council may provide funding to outside non-profit agencies and organizations that provide core services for the citizens of Hutto. The amount of funding received by each agency depends upon Council direction and the availability of funds. The City Council may fund up to 1.0% of the estimated General Fund revenues during the budget process. More information about Outside Agency Funding can be found in the application packet.

The City has partnered with Unite Texas to host a Unite Us “Lunch & Learn” along with an Outside Agency Funding Workshop on Monday, June 27 at 12:00 pm. The event will be held at City Hall and is open to any interested non-profits applying for funding. Those wishing to attend the free event must register by clicking here. The deadline to register is Friday, June 24.

Unite Us is currently growing a social care coordination network in the Capital Region, including Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Hays, Lee, Llano, Travis and Williamson counties. The organization is a coordinated care network that connects community partners – such as non-profits, health care providers, government agencies, and other community-based organizations – through a shared technology platform to make electronic referrals, securely share client information, and track outcomes.

Agencies interested in applying for outside funding can learn why the Unite Us network is needed now more than ever, how their organization will benefit from participating, and the process to join the Unite Texas network. The 60-minute information session will include a full demonstration of the Unite Us platform and will be followed by an application workshop hosted by city staff.

Organizations wishing to apply for outside funding must review all funding criteria and documentation requirements prior to completing their application. A completed application, as well as all listed attachments are required, along with two copies of the funding application and attachments, one unbound and unstapled, and one electronic.

Completed application packets should be submitted no later than 5 pm on Friday, July 8, directed to: City of Hutto, Attention: Kristi Robich, 500 W. Live Oak St., Hutto, TX 78634. Applications will be reviewed by a committee of City Council members and staff beginning on Tuesday, July 12. A final committee review will take place on Tuesday, July 19 then the committee will present their recommendations to the City Council for possible action and approval on Thursday, August 18. Award agreements will be sent out after October 1 with funds distributed later in the quarter.
