We know things are changing rapidly due to the expected affects of the novel coronavirus, and we want to help all of us help our neighbors and our hometown businesses. We'll do our best to let you know which businesses are stepping up, and stepping out, with deliver and curbside service, and how to make a difference right here in Hutto.

The Hutto Resource Center - The Hutto Resource Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing resources that improve the well-being of individuals in the Hutto community and help them in their daily living.Our goal is HRC logoto offer services through collaborative partnerships that promote independence, so our clients can move toward economic self-sufficiency, live abundantly, and be contributing members who give back to their community. Food Pantry Needs -
The food pantry is always in need of food and must rely on the community for supplemental food drives.  We are a partner agency of the Central Texas Food Bank, which serves 250+ food pantries in Central Texas. Because the CTFB does not have enough inventory to meet all of the needs, food drives are instrumental in helping many, many families. Head over to their Facebook group to learn what help your neighbors need, and how you can fill that need. Our thanks to Jackie and everyone else lending a helping hippo hand!

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, more people across Hutto and Williamson County need help. Please consider donating or volunteering at one of the many worthwhile organizations in and around Hutto this holiday season and all through the year.

sbaThe U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is offering COVID-19 Emergency Small Business Loans. Texas small businesses who believe they may be eligible for an SBA EIDL should visit  where they can directly apply for assistance. The online application is the fastest method to receive a decision about loan eligibility.

H-E-B is offering a Senior Support Line - As we continue to find ways to support Texans and our most vulnerable populations, 90385764_10159166968822439_8779374604310282240_oH-E-B and Favor Delivery are piloting today our Senior Support Line, a new delivery program designed to offer a safer solutions for seniors (60+) across Texas. Starting 3/20, seniors can place orders from curated list of essentials via a phone line, the Favor app, or at The line will be staffed with volunteers to accept/process home delivery orders via phone daily 9a-1p. To access, call 1-833-397-0080.
All fees will be waived for the first 30 days, with a $10 tip for the Favor Runner. As we continue to work together to serve Texans, please continue to be patient with our teams as we serve our communities. We continue to work hard to take care of customers. #TexansHelpingTexans

Sesame Workshop Launches 'Caring for Each Other' Initiative to Help Parents and Children sesame workshopDuring Coronavirus Pandemic - In response to the unprecedented uncertainty facing young children and families, Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Street, is offering a broad variety of free resources to help children and families during the coronavirus pandemic. Today’s announcement of the Caring for Each Other initiative marks the beginning of a commitment to support families for the duration of this crisis, with brand new content featuring the Sesame Street Muppets sharing messages of love and kindness, playful learning activities, and virtual play dates launching soon. Mindful that the adults who care for children need support too, the resources are intended to help caregivers as well as children.    

The initiative features resources designed to help parents provide comfort and manage anxiety, as well as help with creating routines, fostering playful learning at home, and staying physically and mentally healthy. will be regularly updated to meet the needs of families as the situation evolves. Families can also watch Sesame Street episodes on HBO and PBS stations, and the PBS KIDS 24/7 channel, with an expanded offering of free on-demand episodes of Sesame Street on PBS KIDS digital platforms. 

Resources will also be distributed through a wide range of partners in the US and globally, including community providers serving vulnerable families through Sesame Street in Communities and PBS stations.
